Pan Granulators: How to Make Granules When Using a Pan Granulator

Are you looking for a machine that can manufacture fertilizer quickly and easily? A pan granulator can provide you with exceptional efficiency at a low cost. Furthermore, you may create a variety of fertilizers using the same machine.

Its primary function is to granulate and compress powder fertilizer into fine pellets and it has a high granulation rate of up to 95%. In reality, when compared to practically every fertilizer granulation machine, such as the rotary granulator, double roller extrusion granulator machine, and organic fertilizer pellet mill, its granulation rate is higher. Keep reading to find out how it works:

What is a Pan Granulator and How Does It Work?

Granulation is the process of bringing together many particles or grains, usually using a binding agent and mechanical force as well. A pan granulator, also known as a disc pelletizer, is round disc-like equipment that produces fertilizer granules on a pedestal. It is unique among granulating machines in that it is one of the best-suited machines for pelleting with the highest pelleting ratio.

Both organic and compound fertilizer powders can be pelletized with it. It can be used to make organic fertilizer granules as well as compound fertilizer granules. It also needs some additional auxiliary equipment for efficiency. In light of this, to make a highly efficient fertilizer, combine the pan pelletizer with other fertilizer-making devices such as a compost fertilizer machine, a crusher, a mixer, and a dryer.

Types of Pan Granulators

• NPK compound fertilizer granulation machines
• Disk pan granulators
• Laboratory pan granulators
• Organic fertilizer pan pelletizers
• Disc pan wet granulation machines

How to Make Granules When Using Pan Granulator?

A plate type of granules making machine, unlike an organic fertilizer granulator, is suited for compound NPK fertilizer production as well as organic fertilizer production. For compound fertilizers, you can use nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus sources. Some phosphorus sources include dicalcium and diammonium phosphate.

Potassium sources include potassium chloride and potassium sulphate and nitrogen sources include urea, ammonium chloride, ammonium sulphate and so on. As for organic fertilizer, you can use different types of raw materials like chicken poo, cow dung, and sheep manure.

Whichever the raw material, the disk pellting equipment breaks down powders into pellets by use of centrifugal force. Now to the process, start by inserting the materials into the machine’s inlet through the top after which the granulating disk will rotate. Because the materials may be seen spinning in the disk, make sure you spray enough water to counteract the granules’ effect.

Due to centrifugal force, friction, and gravity, the materials will rapidly become pellets. The scraper is used to scrape off any agglomerations that have formed on the disk’s surface. This ensures that all of the components are equally granulated, giving the pellet an attractive appearance. Once the pellets have been formed, they will exit through the outlets for collections and any substandard pellets will be re-granulated.

Without a pan granulator machine, a fertilizer production line would be incomplete. Moreover, the most efficient way to deal with animal manure is to granulate it into organic fertilizer. Contact us for these efficient machines!
